Ernest Frederickson

84, Sydney Ernest Alexander Frederickson of Sydney passed away on Saturday June 7, 2008 at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex. He was the son of the late Alexander R. Frederickson and Blanche Heron. He was a member of Sacred Heart parish, Sydney. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War. He was a graduate of Dalhousie University and worked as a chartered accountant for many years in Sydney. Ernest also held the position of Senior Auditor for the Department of Insurance of the Federal Government. Surviving are daughters, Mary Yeager, Glace Bay, Carol Weir (Scott), Sherwood Park, Alberta, Raun Coates, Barrie, Ontario, and sister, Marie (Doane Curtis), Sydney; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Ina Grant and grandson, Kyle Weir. There will be no visitation, by request. Funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, George Street, Sydney on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
