MANNING, BEV. - Mr. Bev. Manning, of Sussex, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on July 12, 2002. Born in Sussex, NB on May 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Harry and Elsie Manning. He is survived by Anne, his beloved wife of 49 years, two daughters Susan MacNichol and her husband Brian of Sussex, Heather Magee and her husband Bill of Grand Bay - Westfield; his son John and Patty Reid of Sussex; daughter-in-law Norma Manning of Sussex; his brother, Bob and Edris Manning of Dutch Valley; three sisters Evelyn MacDougal and her husband Mac of Port Hope, Ont., Mary Donnachie and her husband Bill Cambridge, Ont., and Betty Roberts, Ottawa; two grandchildren Christopher and Linda MacNichol; and several nieces and nephews. Bev was predeceased by three brothers George, John and Harry and by a sister Ruth Ellison. He retired from NB Power after 31 years, He was a Fire chief of the Sussex Fire Department, a member of the Sussex Lions Club, St. Paul's United Church, an Active Red Cross Blood Donor, and The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 who will hold a memorial tribute on Monday at 6:45 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Sunday 7-9, Monday 2-4,7-9.
