HODGES, DELBERT OLIVER - 75, Cherry Brook, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 14, 2002 at the Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late H. Lloyd and Drusilla (Oliver) Hodges. He was an educator in the schools of the Preston area, as well as in New Brunswick. He went on to Adult Education for many years before retiring in 1987. He enjoyed gardening, music, dancing, reading, various board games, horse shoes, bowling, swimming, skating, and was a member of local organizations. Delbert was a member of Equity Lodge #106 and the Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving are wife Bernita (Johnson) Hodges; daughters Audrey Hodges, Krista Hodges, Paula Hodges-Boyle, all of Dartmouth, grandson Aaron Hodges-Boyle (Dartmouth), brother Eric Hodges (Saint John, NB), godchildren Patricia Grosse and Keith Grosse, as well as various family members. Delbert was predeceased by brother Frederick Hodges, sister Audrey Hodges, and son-in-law Mark Boyle. Visitation Wednesday, 2-4, 7-9 with a Masonic Service at 7:30 PM, both at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Funeral Service Thursday, 2pm at Cherry Brook United Baptist Church. Rev.
