
BRIAN RONALD VAUGHAN
VAUGHAN, BRIAN RONALD - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 13, 2002, Brian Ronald Vaughan of Codys, N.B., husband of Patricia (Green) Vaughan. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Bernice Helen (Snow) Vaughan and the late Ronald Clinton Vaughan. Brian was a Firefighter with the City of Saint John until his retirement in June of 2002. He was a former member of St. Judes Anglican Church and a member of the Eastern Star Philip A. Jerguson Chapter #18 O.E.S. Brian played Senior Softball and Jr. Hardball and played Jr. Hockey with the Sussex Royals and also the Centennial League. He played and coached for the Saint John Fire Dept. and School Boy Hockey, as well as the Lancaster Minor Hockey and Lancaster Minor Basketball and the Hazen White St. Francis Basketball Team and he was an avid camper and was a dog enthusiast. Surviving in addition to his wife Patricia and his mother Bernice are one son Jeffrey at home, two daughters Becky Vaughan Curran and her husband Scott of Codys, N.B., and Cara Vaughan at home, one sister Elizabeth Ann Melvin of Saint John, one grandson Ethan Curran, one brother-in-law Ralph Green and his wife Marie of Geary, N.B., two sisters-in-law Carol Vair and her husband George of Saint John, Judith Smith and her husband Stephen of Saint John, nieces and nephews Christa Melvin, Cindy Lanigan, Stephen Vair, Clay Smith, Amy Smith, and Natalie Green. Predeceased by his father Ronald and nephew Robbie Melvin, brother-in-law Brian Melvin, father and mother in-law Hartley and Thelma Green. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Manawagonish Road on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at 1 p.m. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations to the Shriners Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Liver Foundation, St. Judes Anglican Church Building Fund and the Steeple Fund of the Jemseg Anglican Church or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
