69, Eskasoni Annie Ellen Marshall, 69, of Eskasoni, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chapel Island, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Susan Marshall. She was member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Catherine ‘Cathy’ (Russell ‘Jai’) Lewis, Eskasoni; sons, David (Donna), Eskasoni, Henry (Sandra), Eskasoni, Joe (Karen), Sydney, John, Eskasoni, Danny, Eskasoni; special friends, Annie Jane Alex, Viney Sapier and June Joe, whom she played cards and bingo with, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three godchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Anthony, two children in infancy, brothers, Ben, Noel ‘Sam’, sisters, Ninnian ‘Marie’, Mary, Madeline, Agnes and Charlotte. Visitation for the late Annie Marshall will take place after 7 p.m. at the Gabriel Centre, Eskasoni. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev.
