77, Mira Gut It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Stella Marie Andrea of Mira Gut, formerly of Whitney Pier, on Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by family and friends. Stella leaves behind her husband and constant companion of 59 years of marriage, Dan, to mourn her loss. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Chris); sons, Kevin (Denise), Eric (Valerie), Gary and Donnie (Bev); grandchildren, Kristen, Jeff (Laura), Nicole, Mark, Matthew, Cathy, Jonathan, Desmond, Mikida, Deshonna, Craig, Shaun, Keven and David, and several great-grandchildren. Stella is also survived by her sisters, Delores ‘Doods’ (Phil) and MaryLou; brothers, Leonard and Lewis, several stepbrothers and stepsisters and sister-in-law, Gladys. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Hewer, stepmother, Annie Hewer, brothers, Tom, Herbie and Ernie, sisters, Agnes Weatherby and Marg Ryan. Stella was a wonderful person, always full of life and will be greatly missed by all and will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace, Stel, Mom and Nan. ‘We love you.’ Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev.
