CHASE, ELIZABETH G. - The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Gray "Betty" Chase, of Saint John West, wife of A. Gordon Chase, occurred on Friday, August 30, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Muriel L. (Russell) Young. Mrs. Chase was a member of the HMS Hood Chapter of the I.O.D.E. life member of Centenary Queen Square United Church, Riverside Golf and Country Club, Westfield Golf and Country Club, Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club and volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels for over 25 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Derek Chase (Elizabeth) of Saint John and A. Gary Chase (Chris) of Clifton Royal, four grandchildren, Kevin G. Chase of Ottawa, ON, Craig G. Chase, Amanda Lee Chase both of Clifton Royal and Megan R. Foster of Saint John, one sister, M. Louise Finley (Bruce) of Fredericton and several nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 4, 2002, at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
