Kathlyn 'Tommy' MacDonald

91, Sydney Kathlyn Gordon ‘Tommy’ MacDonald, 91, a resident of the Cove Guest Home, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Cove. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Marie Louise (Bert) Spencer. Tommy was a member of First United Church, Sydney, and was formerly on the board of directors for the Bairncroft Corp. Surviving is her daughter, Lynn (James) Wall, Pictou County; son, Bruce (Ann), Sydney; sister, Claire Spencer, Vancouver; six grandchildren, Tara and Shauna MacDonald, Sydney, Kyle MacDonald, Calgary, Erin Wall, Charlottetown, JR, Halifax, and Sean, Halifax; one great-grandchild, Bruce Alexander MacDonald, Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tommy was predeceased by her husband, Harry in 1984 and sisters, Elaine, Louise and Vera. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel Saturday, 11 a.m., with Rev. Wade Reppart officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
