Steven Kevin Capstick

31, Sydney Mines Steven Capstick of 15 MacKay St., Sydney Mines, passed away on June 19 in Alberta, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Sydney Mines, Steven was the son of Kevin and Ann (Degaust) Capstick. Steven was a member of the St. Pius X Church, Sydney Mines. He was employed as a labourer in Alberta for the past several years. Besides his parents, Steven is survived by his loving wife, Leila (Sampson) and his son, Mitchell; one sister, Shauna MacIntyre, Edmonton, Atla.; and his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Capstick, Sydney Mines. Steven is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Steven was predeceased by his brother, Shayne, maternal grandparents, James and Marguerite Degaust and paternal grandfather, William Capstick. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place in Alberta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Church, Sydney Mines, Monday, June 23, 2008, at 10 a.m. under the direction of Francis Funeral Home with Fr. Hughie MacNeil officiating.
