89, Baddeck Evelyn MacIver, 89, of Baddeck, passed away at Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Sunday, June 22, 2008. She was born in St. Patrick’s Channel, the daughter of the late Margaret and John MacNaughton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 10 brothers and sisters. Evelyn was married to Malcolm MacIver who passed away in November 1996. She worked in Boston for many years and when they retired, they bought a home in Baddeck, where she lived until her death. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret MacKay of Baddeck and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for the late Mrs. MacIver will take place today (Wednesday, June 25) at Farquharson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Middle River, from 1 p.m. until funeral at 2 p.m. with Rev. Karen Lynch officiating. Burial in Middle River Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck.
