90, Sydney Mary Josephine Delaney, formerly of Howe Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2008, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John Leo and Christine (MacNeil) Delaney. She was a member of St. Theresa’s parish. She was employed at Wright’s Furniture Store for many years and after that she worked at Crowell’s. Josie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Flora Delaney. She was predeceased by brothers, Eddie (Ella), Redmond (Cecile), Tom and by sisters, Elsie (Jack) MacKay and Dorothy (Phil) Farrell. Visitation for the late Josie Delaney will be held at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sunday, June 29 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30 at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating.
