Age 52 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Dobson at home in Cull’s Harbour, N.L., on Saturday, June 28, 2008, after a short illness. Left with loving memories are his wife of 26 years, Claudine (Burgess) and son, David; brothers, Jim (Esther) P.E.I.; Doug (Linda), Niagara Falls, Rick (Mary), Sydney; 12 nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Edna (Nichols) Dobson. Dave was employed with Parks Canada at Terra Nova Provincial Park, Newfoundland, for 25 years. A memorial service was held at the park on July 3, 2008. Family and friends will gather at St. Alban’s Hall, St. Alban’s Avenue, Whitney Pier, on Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m. to celebrate Dave’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
