Theodore 'Ted' Noseworthy

97, Sydney Please join us on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at 11 a.m. in a celebration of the life of Theodore ‘Ted’ Noseworthy, a husband, father, and best friend. He passed away July 10, 2008, at the age of 97. Family and friends look forward to sharing memories, stories, laughter, and tears at the service taking place at the United Protestant Church, Sydney River. Ted was born Nov. 4, 1910, in St. Anthony, N.L. to the late Charles and Patience (Brown) Noseworthy. In June 1935, he was united in marriage to Clara May Annesty, who passed away in 1973. They had two children, Ralph and Clifford. Ted later married Margaret (Andrews) Noseworthy who survives him. He is also mourned by his sister, Dora MacDonald, and his sister-in-law, Chris Noseworthy, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. Ted worked in he Sydney Steel Plant’s nail mill for over 40 years. He was a very active member of the United Protestant Church and IOOF (the Independent Order of Odd Fellows) and well known for having painted his home in Howie Center Cape Breton tartan. Visitation will take place Monday, July 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July, 15 in Sydney River United Protestant Church, with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Burial to follow in Alfred E. Smith Cemetery.
