70, Glace Bay/California It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne Farrell on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, while vacationing in his home town of Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Leo and Christina (MacKay) Farrell. Wayne was a former member of St. Anne’s parish, Glace Bay. He worked for Delta Airlines for many years. After his retirement, Wayne enjoyed travelling and visiting with family and friends. Wayne is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris (Dowe); three sons, Robert, Leo and Norris, all of the U.S.A.; seven grandchildren and three sisters, Bernadette, Catherine and Judy. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by three brothers, Tommy, Jimmy and Leo. Visitation will be held today (Friday, July 18) from 2-4 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay.
