67, Sydney It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Beverly Ferris, who died Friday, July 18, 2008, suddenly at home after a lengthy illness. Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary McNeil. She is survived by her loving husband, George Ferris; and three daughters, Kim Ferris, Mary Kelly Donavan and Karrie Ferris. Beverly is also survived by her sisters, Florence, Sally, Carmel and Mary Jane; brothers, Russell, Ritchie, Murdock, Angus and Johnny; sons-in-law, Joe Near and Jamie Donavan; grandchildren, Hunter, Chelsea, Jillian and Joshua. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Gregory The late Beverly Ferris will have visitation Sunday, July 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 21 in St. Joseph Church, Sydney, with Fr. Gerald Dunphy officiating. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the Nova Scotia Lung association.
