BROWN, ERNEST JAMES - Ernest James Brown (Ernie) 88, of North Head, Grand Manan, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Monday morning February 17th. Born in Pictou, N.S. he was the son of the late James and Myrtle (Corscadden) Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired linesman with N.B. Telephone, and later worked with the Department of Highways on Grand Manan, and a member of the Orange Lodge. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife at home Hazel (Parker) Brown, two daughters Nancy Wallace (Wayne), St. John, Rochelle Thompson, Castalia, three Step Daughters Kathy Van-De-Sleus of Ont., Raima-Jo Green (Stuart) Grand Harbour, and Nicholle Rideout (Michael), White Head. Two sons Burton Brown (Margaret), Ont., Cameron Brown, North Head, five Step Sons Rodney Brown (Anne), of B.C., Douglas Brown (Francine), Grand Harbour, Brad Brown (Christina), of B.C., David Chapell (Susan) of Ont. and Trevor Brown of Ont. One sister Mary Brown, and one brother Edgar Corscadden (Faye) of Saint John, as well as Thirteen Grandchildren, and Three Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives at the North Head Wesleyan Church, Tuesday February 18th, 2-4, 7-9 PM from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Charles Bain officiating, interment to follow in the family plot North Head Cemetery. Memorial donations to the North Head Wesleyan Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
