Angus Nicholson

1939-2008 We, the family of Angus Frederick Nicholson ‘Gus’, regret to announce his passing on Friday, July 18, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Florence, Cape Breton, N.S., he was residing in Kitchener, Ont. for many years. He was the beloved son of the late Alexander H. and Violet Nicholson of Florence, Cape Breton, N.S. Remembered by his six children, William and Deborah (Joseph), Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, N.S., Michael, Edward and Alexander (Sara) of Western Canada, and James, Elora, Ont. Also remembered by and his five grandchildren. Also living to mourn his loss is one brother, Woodbury ‘Nick’ Nicholson; sisters, Mary Griffen (Steve), Barbara Nicholson (John L. Reid) and Sharon (Kathleen) Steenhuis, all of Kitchener, Ont. Gus was predeceased by his parents, a daughter in infancy and two sisters, Janet and Colleen. Resting at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, Kitchener, Ont. (519-742-4481). Cremation had taken place with a private family service to follow in Cape Breton. Special thanks to Dr. David Stevens, Dr. Hussien, the ICU staff at Grand River Hospital and the 6th floor staff at both Grand River and St. Mary’s hospitals.
