PEABODY, JEAN ALEXANDRA - Jean Alexandra Peabody of Windsor Court, Fredericton, NB died peacefully on March 10, 2003. Born in Woodstock, NB daughter of the late G. Stirling and Mary E. (Bell) Peabody. Jean was a member of Christ Church Cathedral, she was a graduate of UNB in 1924, and a member of the Varsity Basket Ball Team. Jean returned to Fredericton in 1969 after a career as a Statistician with The World Health Organization and McGill University. Jean was also an avid gardener. Survived by two sisters: Polly Hagerman of Fredericton, NB and Olive Sheehan of Leicester, North Carolina, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, two brothers: Guthrie and Richard, five sisters: Alice Peabody, Margaret Lawrence, Anne Peabody, Charlotte Peabody and Catherine Jolliffe. Visitation will be held at Mcadam's Select Community Funeral Home, with visiting hours Wednesday, March 12, 2003 for 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 2:00 PM. The Very Reverend Keith Joyce officiating, assisted by The Reverend Elaine Lucas. Interment will take place in the Rural Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Christ Church Cathedral Memorial Fund would be appreciated. www.mcadamsfh.com
