CHRISTIE, M. DORA - The death of Miss M. Dora Christie of Loch Lomond Villa occurred at her residence on Saturday, March 22, 2003. Miss Christie was born in Bathurst, a daughter of the late William and Marie (Lavigne) Christie, and had resided in Saint John since 1933. She had been employed with Transport Canada until her retirement in 1976. She was a great lover of music and sports. She attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and was a member of the choir for many years. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, Gilbert, Kenneth, William, and Allie; and two sisters, Anita and Albina. She is survived by one sister, Mayda Wolfe of Saint John; one brother, Leonard Christie of Bathurst; six half-brothers, Vincent, Raymond, Albin, Laurence, and Emile Christie, all of Bathurst, and Aurele Christie of Sarnia; one step-sister, Lorraine, Mrs. Ralph Doucet of Bathurst; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:45 to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for Mass of Christian Burial at twelve o'clock.
