WHITTAKER, RETA - The death of Reta Griselda Whittaker, widow of the late Rev. H. Allan Whittaker, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 23, 2003. Born in Liscombe, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Hannah Baker. She was the youngest of six brothers and seven sisters and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was 95 years of age. She had resided in Saint John for over sixty years. She was a member of St. Mary St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church and a longtime member of the former WA and later the ACW. Special appreciation is expressed to her excellent caregivers for their compassion, caring and concern, Betty Wilkins, Sherry Jones, Eileen Lamb and Diane Hamilton. The body is resting at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster Street, 634-1712, with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held at St. Mary St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 2 pm followed by internment at Fernhill Cemetery. www.awcavanagh.com
