HARMON MAXWELL MISENER
MISENER, HARMON MAXWELL - The death of Harmon Maxwell "Max" Misener of Hampton, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Overholt) Misener occurred unexpectedly April 4, 2003 at his residence. Born in Bismark, Ontario in 1923, he joined the RCAF in 1941 serving as a pilot with Air Transport Command. After the war, he continued flying as a Captain with 437 Transport Squadron, Trenton, Ontario. He received an award in 1962 for logging 15,000 flying hours. After retirement from the RCAF, the Misener family moved to Hampton, New Brunswick and he was Chief Pilot for Irving Oil Transport for sixteen years. Surviving besides his loving wife of 59 1/2 years are four daughters, Nancy (David Heard) of White Rock, B.C., Victoria Robinson (Ron) of Toronto, ON, Jenny of Toronto, ON, Melinda of Kelowna, B.C.; son-in-law, Albert Roche of Carleton Place, ON; grandchildren, Lauren, Elizabeth, Sarah, Matthew, Elliot and Theodore; one brother, Donald K. Misener (Rilla) of St. Catharines, ON; one sister, Wilma Barrick of Welland, ON; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Beverly Roche. The family will receive friends at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, from 7-9pm on Thursday, April 10, 2003. Cremation will be followed by a memorial service at Louth United Church, Ontario. ?Interment in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Louth, ON.
