David Wayne Moore

April 26, 1946-July 29, 2008 It is with sadness that the family of David Wayne Moore announces his passing at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on July 29, 2008. Wayne was 62 years old. Wayne was born and raised in Sydney, the eldest son of Marty Moore and Della (Martell). His early career was spent in policing with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Sydney Police Department and Sydney Steel Corp. More recently he had a career in property management in Western Canada where he made many friends in his work. Wayne is survived by his wife of 33 years, Georgina (Saunders); her son, Frankie Walker (Sydney); daughter, Shauna Walker (St. Croix) and four grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Barry (Shenacadie), Paul (Margie, Sydney), their two sons, Iain and Matthew, and his sister, Coleen Moore Hayes (Allen, Westmount) and nephew, Kenneth. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St Theresa’s parish in Sydney, Thursday, July 31 at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to paul.moore@ns.sympatico.ca.
