HAYES, GRACE L. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 8, 2003 Grace Leone Hayes of Loch Lomond Villa and formerly of Blue Heron Park Saint John West, wife of the late Hedley Hayes. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Ephriam and Mable (Dunn) Corbett. Grace was employed with the Federal Government in the Income Tax Department before her retirement. She was an avid curler and was a member of the Carleton Curling Ladies Club and was president from 1959 to 1960 and from 1983 to 1984 and was also a member of the St. Marks Seniors Bridge Club. She is survived by three sons Lawrence Corbett Hayes of Saint John, Lloyd Douglas Hayes and his wife Dianne of Saint John and David Leslie Hayes and his wife Brenda of West Bank, B.C., three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two nieces and two nephews. Predeceased by her husband Hedley, daughter Judith and five brothers and one sister. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at the "Fallsview" Chapel on Saturday April 12, 2003 at 10 am. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
