Margaret (Peggy Nash) Head

80, Howie Centre It is with great sadness we, her family, announce the passing of Peggy at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on July 30, 2008. Peggy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Katherine (MacNeil) Nash. Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Rolf; one daughter, Kay Edwards, Sydney; two sons, Teddy (Claire), Dartmouth and Frank (Janet), Sydney. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Laura (Edwards) Smith, Sydney, Diane Edwards, Philadelphia, USA, Keith Ball, Dartmouth, Lyndsey (Ball) Flemming, Dartmouth, Ryan Head, Sydney and Flannery Head, Dartmouth; her four great-grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Alex and Kaelyn Ball and Eliot Flemming and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceaced by her daughter, Elaine Ball, two brothers, John Nash and Hugh Fraser Nash, son-in-law, Bill Edwards. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 1 at 3:30 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel with Major Bill Head officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations can be made to charity of choice.
