BUCHANAN, VIOLA ELIZABETH - Mrs. Viola Elizabeth Buchanan, of Sussex, passed on April 13, 2003 at the age of 82 years. She was the daughter of the late Otty and Edna (Colpitts) Smith and the beloved wife of the late Milton George Buchanan who passed away in 1996. Viola is survived by 2 sons, Dr. Carl R. Buchanan (Ann) of Sydney, NS, Richard M. Buchanan (Mavis) of Fredericton, a brother, Everett Smith (Wilma), 2 sisters, Ida Brooks, Dorothy Leach (Vernon), a brother-in-law Eldon Buchanan (Doris), sister-in-law Sadie Gamble, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by 2 sons Earl and George, 3 brothers, Frank, Donald and Ralph. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Monday 2-4, 7-9.
