Euphemia 'Phemie' Peech

Sydney Euphemia ‘Phemie’ Peech of George Street, Sydney, passed away at home on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Flora (Morrison) Peech. Phemie was a member of Trinity United Church, Whitney Pier, and for many years taught at Colby Elementary, retiring as school principal. She is survived by her cousins, Audrey Trider and Clifford Coveyduc, Dartmouth. Besides her parents, Phemie was predeceased by her sister, Mary Evelyn Peech. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, followed by a service in the chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery. Special thanks to all Phemie’s friends and neighbours who helped during her last days.
