SMITH, ELIZABETH (BETTY) - The death of Elizabeth (Betty) Smith, beloved wife of Thomas (Tom) Smith, occurred on April 15, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Kirkcaldy, Fife County, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Skinner) Francis. She was employed with MRAs Department Store, Birks Jewelry Store and the Ideal Store before her retirement. Besides her husband she will be sadly missed by her son Thomas Smith Jr. and his wife Carol of British Columbia, Sandra and her husband Steven McKinnon of Saint John, her dear grandchildren Ian, Richard, Angela, Carla, Erin and Kelly and her four great-grandchildren. Following cremation the funeral service will be held from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, April 19, 2003.
