91, Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Ann Isabel DeCoste, 91, of Taigh Na Mara, formerly Sterling Villa, on Wednesday July 30, 2008. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Lockie and Mary Margaret (Minnie) MacDonald. Ann is survived by three sons, John Jr., Antigonish, Tony, Glace Bay, and Donald, Sydney; three sisters, Elizabeth MacDonald, Sydney, Margaret (Peggy) MacKinnon, Sydney, and Pearl O’Connell, Stratford Ont. Also surviving Ann are a number of nieces and nephews and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband John, sisters, Mary Catherine and Carmell and two brothers, Donald and Collin. In honouring Ann’s requests, there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home and Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
