Anne Marie MacMullin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Anne Marie MacMullin, 59, a loving wife, grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and friend, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Thursday, July 31, 2008, after a brief illness. Born in Christmas Island, N.S., she was the daughter of Mary C. (MacKenzie) MacKinnon of Christmas Island, and the late John Neil MacKinnon. Anne Marie worked for many years at the Red & White grocery store, CIBC and Wal-Mart photography. She loved to cook, bake, crochet and was always taking care and thinking of those around her. Anne Marie was a member of St. Joseph parish, Sydney. She is survived by loving husband of 39 years, Roddie; son, Kelly (Tammy), Victoria, B.C.; daughter, Leanne (Tony) MacNeil, at home; grandchildren, Jamie, Tristan, Clayton; sisters, Rhodena (David) MacNeil, Shenacadie, Bernita (Kevin Karnis) MacKinnon, Truro; brothers, Michael (Evelyn) MacKinnon, Norman MacKinnon, both of Big Beach, N.S.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Anne Marie was predeceased by son, Rodney, brother, Jim Bob MacKinnon, sister, Rose MacNeil and nephew, John C. MacKinnon. Visitation for the late Mrs. MacMullin will take place on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s church with Rev. Gerald Dunphy officiating. Interment in Christmas Island.
