52, Sydney Mines (Florence) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Mae MacKinnon, Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with the love of her life, Leonard Bonner, by her side. Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Joy) MacKinnon. Anne was a very soft-hearted and strong-willed person who lived her life for what she loved most of all, her partner of 33 years, Leonard Bonner of whom she will be deeply missed. Anne will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters, Linda (William Foster), Sydney Mines, and Peggy Charles, Vernon, Ont.; her very special friend, Beanie Jessome; in-laws, Violet and Leonard Bonner; her aunts and uncles; five nieces; three nephews; two great-nephews and one great-niece; three sisters-in-law; and many great friends that stood by her side through her short illness. In keeping with Anne’s wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial service for the family to take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of J.M.
