D. Eva Snow

84, North Sydney It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Snow, age 84, on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Taigh Solas in the Northside General Hospital, where she resided. Born in Sydney Mines she was a daughter of the late James and Katie (Vickers) McIntosh. Eva was employed for a number of years with Eaton’s in North Sydney, she was a member of St. Joseph Church and also a member of the CWL. She always enjoyed a good game of cards, both with her family and friends. Eva will be sadly missed by her son, Robert (Darlene) Snow, George’s River; daughter, Cathy (Wayne) Wood, Vancouver; by her two cherished grandchildren, James and Leah Snow; by her sisters, Margaret (Howard) Sexton, Theresa McDermid, Mary Murphy; sister- in-law, Betty McIntosh; and by several nieces and nephews whom she adored. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Snow, a brother, Douglas McIntosh, brothers-in-law, Donald McDermid and Gerald Murphy. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8 in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 9 at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Jake Andrea officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
