PITTS, YVONNE MARIE - The death of Mrs. Yvonne Marie (Brown) Pitts, 89, of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Saint John West, wife of the late Arthur Pitts, occurred on Friday, May 23, 2003 at her residence, Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born in Millerton, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mary Ellen (Newman) Brown. Yvonne was formerly employed with Anderson Insurance for over 20 years. She was a former member of the Assumption Parish, where she had served on the CWL. For most of her life, Yvonne had resided in Saint John, and had been living in Fredericton for the last five years. She is survived by one son, A. Douglas (Nancy) Pitts of Fredericton, NB, two daughters, Sister Maureen Pitts, SC of Halifax, NS, and Eleanor (Allan) Campbell of Wellington, NS, one granddaughter, Sarah Marie Campbell, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Kenneth Brown. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 12:00 Noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry White as Celebrant. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Saint John.
