Chadwick 'Chad' Alexander Penny

34, Salmon River Chadwick ‘Chad’ Alexander Penny, 34, of Salmon River, passed away suddenly as a result of a motorcycle accident on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Archie and Anne Penny. He was always there to help family and friends if they needed it, no matter what time of day it was. Chad loved to spend time with his loving wife, Kowanda of 13 years and their son Damien. He would take them out on an evening ride on the bike or on the faithful Wednesday night bike ride with the boys. He had two loves in life; family and his bikes. He enjoyed being a mechanic where he was employed at Taylor Automotive. When it came to fixing bikes or cars he was full of knowledge. There was no job too big for him. He is also survived by three brothers, Kenny, Corky (Crystal Chapman) and Rory Penny; sister, Faith Penny; stepmother, Berlee Penny; brother-in-law, Jeff Millard (Jayne); nieces, Grace and Emma Millard; nephews, Jeremy and Braxton Penny. He was a special son-in-law to George and Eileen Millard. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Helen McIntyre and Winston and Mary Penny. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Cornerstone Assembly, Bible Hill, Pastor Oral Stewart officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust account for the Penny family at the CIBC branch on Prince Street, Truro. Online condolences may be made at www.colchestercommunity.com.
