GALLANT, MARIE (KATE) CATHERINE - The death of Catherine (Kate) Gallant occurred on Thursday May 29th, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 2nd, 1899 on Prince Edward Island. Catherine was predeceased by her husband the late Emanuelle Gallant . She is survived by her two sons, Leo and (Eleanor) Gallant of Buctouche Bay and Albert and (Marie) Gallant of Saint John. Seven daughters, Gertrude Morrison, Bertha Paisley both of Loch Lomond Villa, Theresa and (Joe) Blanchard of Saint John, Marguerite and (Earl) Macleod of Nova Scotia, Doris Curran of Browns Flats, Ester McGraw of Saint John and Lorriane and (Murry) Ward of Pocologan. Two sisters; Cecile and Rita, twenty-nine grandchildren, fifty-eight great grandchildren, twenty-one great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Kate was predeceased by two daughters, Agnus and Myrtle and two sons Albert and Arthur, three sisters; Dorothy, Elizebeth and Annie, and two brothers Amos and Leo. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, (646-2424) with visitation on Friday May 30th, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint Joachim's Church on Saturday May 31st, 2003 at 10:00 am with Father Don Savoie officiating.
