MEECH, AGNES "NINA" S. - The death of Agnes "Nina" S. Meech, 93, of Hampton, widow of Lennard A. Meech, occurred June 9, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Glasgow, Scotland she was a daughter of the late William and Isabella (McGeahey) Meech. She came to Canada in 1913 and resided in West Toronto, Moncton, moving to Hampton in 1993. She worked at Blue Cross and the Moncton Post Office from where she retired in 1967. Nina was a Life Member of Fort Monckton Chapter, I.O.D.E. served as its Regent in 1971-1972. She was a member of Central United Church, Moncton Curlers' Association, Moncton Hub City Lawn Bowling League, Hillcrest Seniors Club and Ossekeag Seniors Club in Hampton. She is survived by one son Walter Meech (Nancy) of Hampton; one daughter Eleanor Robinson (Doug) of Wellington, Ontario; two grandchildren Alan Meech (Annette) of Fredericton, Heather Banks (Michael) of Calgary; three great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting by request. Cremation will be followed by a memorial service Friday, 1:00pm, at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel, 1063 Main Street, Hampton. Rev. Keith Lyons officiating.
