McCRACKEN, LLOYD CHRISTIE - Lloyd Christie McCracken of White Rapids Manor died peacefully at the Manor on June 21, 2003 at the age of 81. Lloyd is survived by his wife Joyce Anita (Perkins) McCracken, one daughter Holly Blaikie (Douglas) of New Maryland, two sons Michael McCracken of Fredericton Junction and Gregory McCracken (Kathie) of Ontario, three sisters Helen Lavalley (Ed) of Ontario, Joey Wright of St. George, Ethel McCracken of B.C., one brother James McCracken (Sadie) of McAdam, sisters-in-law Annie, Della and Ruth, ten grandchildren Corinna, Sandy, Troy, Karen, Mark, Brad, Krista, Jeremy, Andrew and Peter, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was Anglican and was employed as a Storeman at CFB Gagetown. He served in the RCAF during WWII and was a prisoner of war for two years. He was a member of Legion Branch #55 and 426 Squadron. He is predeceased by his parents Loretta (Brawn) and Arthur McCracken, one son Terrance McCracken, five brothers Arthur, Lawrence, Harvey, Vance, and Charlie. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home on Monday, June 23 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be from the Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Harrison officiating. Interment to follow in the Gladstone Cemetery. The legion will hold a Tribute Service at the grave side lead by Legion Padre Alfred Blizzard. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to the Mini-Bus or the Fredericton Junction Ambulance. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, N.B. (368-2413).
