74, Sydney It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of James Seaward which occurred Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Strickland) Seaward. James is survived by his sisters, Alice (George) Janes, Halifax, Delphine (John) Emmett, Alberta; brothers, Bill Seaward, St. John’s, N.L., Ablsom (Joan) Seaward, Wimbly, Alta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Stephen and George in infancy. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date in Port aux Basques. Donations can be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre or Palliative Care Unit to honour the exceptional care they provided James during his illness.
