MAKENNEY, ROY HENRY - The passing of Mr. Roy H. Makenney of Saint John, husband of Shirley (Godsoe) Makenney occurred on August 1st, 2003 at the St. Joseph's Hospital. Born October 28th, 1925 in Saint John NB. He was the son of the late Roy and Zella (Rowley) Makenney. Roy was an avid Sportsman and Hunter and participated in several hobby and service clubs in the Saint John area. He is survived by one son; Laurie (Judy) of Grand Bay-Westfield, three daughters; Linda Belyea of Saint John, Martha Hughes of Moncton and Margo (Bruce) Rodgerson of Saint John. Five grandchildren; Sarah, Andrew, Jennifer, Tyler, and Cruise, and one cousin; Alban Makenney. Roy was predeceased by a sister; Vera McAloney. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John NB. (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, August 6th, 2003 from 2-4 and and 7-9pm. At Roy's request, cremation has taken place and the Memorial service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel" on Thursday August 7th, 2003 at 11 am. With Rev. Roger Graham officiating.
