BOYD, MILDRED CATHERINE - Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Saint John, NB, on August 19, 2003, Mrs. Mildred Catherine (Campbell) Boyd, aged 88, wife of the late Leighton R. Boyd, of Pocologan, NB. Born in Digby, NS on February 5, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Stella Rosnell (Dickson) Campbell. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Millie is survived by two daughters, Eileen Babineau (Leon) of Pocologan, NB and Mary Graham of Saint John, NB; one son, Terry Boyd (Laurie) of Second Falls, NB; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; three sisters, Annie Hardy of Saint John, NB, Marion Boyd of Pennfield, NB and Kathleen Campbell of Pocologan, NB. She was pre-deceased by one son, Leonard L. Boyd and one daughter, Margaret Rose Ryan; five brothers and eight sisters. Before her retirement, Millie was employed by the Shaw Ellis Clam Factory. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed spending time sewing and quilting. In her latter years, she enjoyed watching the ladies in the Friendly Circle Quilting Club. Resting at the Pocologan Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating, followed by interment in Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Thursday from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. In Millie's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer Society or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
