CUMBERLAND, GEORGE - George Lawrence Cumberland of Little Ridge, NB passed away Wednesday August 20, 2003 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB. Son of the late James and Sadie (Scott) Cumberland. Survived by his wife, Marjorie (Jackson) Cumberland, two daughters, Sharon McMorran (James) of Oromocto, NB, and Marilyn Steen of Fredericton, NB, one son, Eldon (Bonnie) of Little Ridge, NB, sister, Mrs. Freda Townes, sister-in-law, Mrs. Doreen Carson, six grandchildren, Debbie Mack (Dave), Carol Ann Hatheway (Dan), Marilyn Johnston (Peter), Larry McMorran, Brian and Krista Cumberland, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister, Evelyn Fullarton and brother, Elmer Cumberland. Resting at the S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB (506-466-1844) from where funeral service will be held on Saturday August 23, 2003 at 2 PM with Rev. Peter Atkinson officiating. Interment at Scotch Ridge Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
