GREENE, WARREN LOWELL (PEELER) - Warren Lowell Greene (Peeler) 79; passed away unexpectedly at home Seal Cove, N.B. Tuesday morning, August 26th, 2003. Born in Grand Harbour he was the son of the late Warren and Ellen (Dakin) Greene. He served in the Royal Canadian Army, North Shore Regiment and served in France, Belgium, Holland, Normandy Beach and also in Canada. Later he returned home and was a Grader and Machinery operator for the Dept. Of Highways on Grand Manan until his retirement. He was a member of the Grand Manan Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 44. He is survived by four daughters, Ellen Taylor, Grand Manan, Myrna Nichols, Oshawa, Ivy (Pat) Dartmouth, Diane Greene, Oshawa, Ont. Three sons Martin (Rickey) Ottawa, Dale (Lois) North Head, Blaine (Pepper) Greene of Seal Cove, N.B. Three step daughters Julie Noel (Roger) Oshawa, Anna Newman (Lowell) St. George, Theresa McFarland (Lloyd), Grand Manan, six step sons David (Wendey) Noel, Alberta, Donald (Deborah) Noel, Alberta, Raymond (Gwen) Noel, Saint John, Paul (Kim) Noel and Nicholas Noel both of Grand Manan, as well as forty four Grand Children and twenty seven Great Grand Children as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Greene was predeceased by his wives Emily (Trecartin) Greene, and Isabelle (Armstrong) Greene as well as one sister Estella Jones, and two brothers Ralph Greene and Ossie Greene. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home, Grand Harbour on Wednesday, August 27th, 7-9 PM and also on Thursday 2-4, 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th, at 2 PM, from the Grand Harbour Baptist Church with Rev Troy Dennis officiating, interment to follow in the family plot Maple Grove Cemetery, Hill Road, Grand Manan, N.B.
