ATKINSON, MARJORIE MORTON - The death of Marjorie Morton Atkinson, wife of the late Bruce Franklin Atkinson, occurred peacefully on August 31st, 2003, during a brief stay at the Regional Hospital in Saint John. Born in 1901 in Richibucto, she was the daughter of James Rankine and Mary Jane (Dickinson) MacKinnon. Prior to her moving to Rothesay in 1992, she and her husband had lived in Edmundston for over 30 years. She was an active member of Saint Paul's United Church there, as well as being a volunteer in a number of community activities and organizations. She is survived by one son Blair Atkinson (Margaret) of Rothesay, and two grandsons, Bruce and Brent. Arrangements are in the care of the CASTLE "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Old Hampton Road, Rothesay, E2E 2R3, (506) 849-1702. By family request, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held and interment will be in the Richibucto Cemetery. Remembrances, if desired, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
