McPHEE, WILFRED DANIEL - The death of Mr. Wilfred Daniel McPhee, loving husband of Georgina (Cormier) McPhee, of Saint John, occurred on Tuesday September 2, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 3, 1924 in Saint John he was the son of the late Wilfred and Sarah Ann (Bernard) McPhee. Wilfred was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He worked as a pipe fitter for many years, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Jervis Bay Branch. He is survived by his loving wife Georgina, sons Alan (Jolanta) McPhee of Pickering, Ontario, Gerald McPhee of Chilliwack, B.C. and Philip (Kimberly) McPhee of Saint John; daughter Valerie (Wayne) Thompson of Stoney Creek; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; eight siblings Florence Bates of Saint John, Doris Milnes of Saint John, Jean Gagnon of Saint John, Laurence McPhee of Quispamsis, John McPhee of Saint John, Anna Savard of Saint John, Wallace McPhee of Saint John, and Edward McPhee of Saint John; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Sarah Ann; sons Wayne McPhee and Larry McPhee; siblings Irene Haynes, James McPhee, Michael McPhee, Jackeline LeBlanc, Joseph McPhee, Mary Cormier,Gertrude Trigg and Francis McPhee. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church on Friday, September 5th at 11am. In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
