PARLEE, VERNA JENNENE - The death of Verna Parlee occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at her residence in Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Gordon & Blanche (McArthur) Garnett. Verna is survived by her daughters, Rhonda "Susie" Meahan of Saint John and Tammy (Ralph) Balemans of Oak Point; two brothers, Lloyd (Sally) Garnett of Saint John and William (Jane) Garnett of Nova Scotia; one sister, Hazel Nantel of Saint John; six grandchildren, Rhonda, Michelle, and Knoll Meahan and Jason, Robin and Jaclyn Balemans; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by her husband, Ronald; one brother, Harry; one sister, Ruby Baker and one great-grandchild, Kayla. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 pm with funeral service on Monday, September 8, 2003 at 10:00 am from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
