(nee Butler) Passed peacefully away with great courage and dignity on July 5, 2008, Alice Carroll, aged 69 years. Predeceased by her parents: Jim and Julia Butler: daughter Julia and son Stannie; sisters: Mary Brazil and Beth Murphy. Leaving to remember her incredible spirit and love of life, her husband of 47 years, Stan: son Jim (Karen); daughters: Alison and Valerie: precious grandchildren, Matthew (Samantha), Lauren (Ian), Jeremy and Jordan; sisters: Helen Pitts and Tish (Bill Neville); brothers-in-law: Bill Carroll (Rita), Dick Carroll (Florence) and Dan Murphy. There is also a large circle of family and friends whose lives she touched in an extraordinary way and who were very dear to her. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation from 2 - 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 - 9 p.m. on Monday, July 7 and 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 - 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 10 a.m. from St. Paul's Church, Newfoundland Drive. Burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Bell Island.
