Passed peacefully away at the age of 79 years in his home with the presence of his loving and devoted wife of 56 years on July 6, 2008. Predeceased by his parents Eli and Rebecca Clarke, step-mother Annie Squires and his brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn wife Betty, sons: David and Gerald (Karen), daughters: Elaine Picco and Mary, special grandson Corey Clarke, grandchildren: Mark, Lisa and Michael Picco, Crystal Clarke (Ryan), David and Ryan Clarke, two great-grandchildren Onica and Damien Mugford, sisters: Thelma Somerton, Betty (Cal) Gosse, brother Wallace (Georgina), sisters-in-law Marion Clarke, Clara Squires, also many other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 freshwater Road on Monday from 2-9 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m.. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2 p.m. from St. Philip's Anglican Church. Interment to follow at St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery.
