ELDON THOMAS (CAPTAIN) ROGERS
ROGERS, ELDON THOMAS (CAPTAIN) - At his residence on October 13, 2003 Captain Eldon Thomas Rogers of Collins Street Saint John West husband of the late Edna (Atkinson) Rogers. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late William and Grace (Bennett) Rogers. Mr. Rogers owned D.M.K. Marine Services Ltd. He was a member of the I.L.A., the Wharf Rats and Saint John Power Boat Club. He received the Order of New Brunswick Business Award Community Involvement. He was a benefactor of many charities involving children and minor sports. He is survived by three sons David (Mary Ann) and their children; Nathan, Silas and Julia, Mark (Lori) and their children; Katie-Anne and Marcus, Keith (Cindy) and their children; Lynda and Patrick, two daughters; Carol McMullin and her children; Matthew and Nicholas, daughter Kathy Rogers, daughter-in-law Cathy Thorne and her children; Ellen and Jason, son-in-law Roger Gallant and his children; David, Andrew and Jennifer, sister Evelyn Speight, cousins Mary Rita White, aunt Lillian Leore, sister-in-law Elaine (Totty) Mullin and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by beloved wife Edna, son Eldon Jr., daughters Linda and Julia and brothers and sisters; Ralph, Francis, Louis, Harry, Charles, Edwin, Helen Clark and Marion Nauss. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). A service of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Thursday October 16, 2003 at 10 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Donations to the Respiratory Clinic, N.B. Lung Association, Diabetic Association or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Following the interment a reception will take place at the Assumption Center.
