Son of the late Freeman H. and Helena G. (Downie) Brown. Survived by his wife, two sons, David (Paula), Ottawa, Ontario; Richard (Heather), St. Stephen, NB; three daughters, Sharon MacDonald (Alan), Dartmouth, NS, Janet Wilson (Robert), Dartmouth, NS, Jane Waring (Mark), Barrie, Ontario; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; one daughter-in-law Joyce Patterson, Woodstock, NB; one brother George Brown (June), Oregon; two sisters Joyce Cavey (Art), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Claire Gladestone (Richard), Rochester, New York; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son, H. Stephen Brown. Funeral Service will be held at the Atlantic Baptist Church, Union Street, St. Stephen, NB on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Garth Williams officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. Visiting hours will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB (506-466-1844) on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Gideon Bible Society or charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
