1927 - 2008 Aubrey F. Kyte, in Montreal on Thursday, Sept. 11, in his 81st year. He is mourned by his wife, Peggy (Lamb); children, Glenn, Carmel, Anne Marie and Kevin (Alessandra) and grandchildren Emma, Emily and Rebecca. Stepfather to Charlie (Suzie), Bill (Louise), Tom (Ann) and Ted (Susan). He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian (Baccardax) of Isle Madam; his brother, Arthur Kyte, Sydney and his parents Jack and Florence. Aubrey was a pilot with Air Canada for over 33 years, and retired as a captain in 1986. Born and raised in Cape Breton, he moved to Montreal in the 1950s, but returned home every year. His family will be taking him home to Cape Breton one last time after a first funeral in Montreal. Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. A funeral mass will be held at St Joseph’s Church, 40 Cabot St., Sydney on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. He will be buried beside Lillian at Resurrection Cemetery in Sydney Forks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
