MILLER, HARRY WALTER - The death of Mr. Harry Walter Miller of Bains Corner, occurred peacefully at his home on October 28, 2003. Born August 20, 1927 in Rothwell, NB he was the son the late Irvine and Mary Jane (McDonald) Miller. Harry was a Welder/Pipefitter by trade for 35 plus years. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Merchant Navy from 1944-1945; serving also with the Royal Highland Regiment of Canada Black Watch Private 1953-1956; he was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 63 in St. Martin's; a member of Pipe Fitters Local 213 for 32 years, Salmon River Fishing Association. Harry had a passion for Music, especially playing his guitar, he played guitar with Chuck Jones on CHSJ, he also loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his sons Rick Miller of Saint John, Danny Miller (Joyce) of Bains Corner, Jack (Lynn) of Saint John, Timmy Miller (Kim) of Bains Corner, Troy Miller (Tracey) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB and Randy Miller (Lylene) of Edmonton, AB; daughter Bonny Miller (Ed Glaspy) of Rothesay; brothers Bob Miller of Lower Coverdale, Fred Miller (Marion) of Regina, SK, Murray Miller (Jean) of Minto, Melvin Miller of Renous, NB, and Orland Miller (Wanda) of Newcastle Creek, NB; sister Jean Miller of Saint John; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and one expected; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving and devoted partner Mae Hopkins and special father, grandfather and great grandfather to her family. Harry was predeceased by his first wife Yvonne Carmelita Parlee; grandsons John Miller, Ryan Miller; great grandchildren Devin and Drew Dennison; and brother Ken Miller. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday October 30, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday October 31, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Brown's Cemetery in Bains Corner. The family would appreciate donations made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, NB Lung Association or The Kidney Foundation.
